There’s no formal congregation in Hindu religion. Hindus believe that their religion doesn’t need any backing. It will survive by itself.
Then one day they go to United Nations, with their complaint that Islam is and has been suppressing them over the centuries.
United Nations need to know what is Hinduism. Every member of United Nations must have attented at least one such congregation of Hinduism.
Mr Bal Gangadhar Tilak recognized this need in 20th century.
He very beautifully created a Hindu festival of Lord Ganesha. Where Hindus, Muslims, and Christians can enjoy the presence of the Hindu deity and can consume pure, cruelty-free, vegetarian offerings given to the Lord.
In the 21st century, this is the festival that should be known to the United Nations. On every Ganesh Chaturthy, the day on which the Hindu deity sacralizes the Earth by means of Pratishthapana (Embodiment in the idol), the Hindu offerings should be sent to the United Nations as a lunch.
It was a festival that was created to bring joy and rejuvenation to the laborious Hindu year. It is incumbent upon Hinduism to present it to the rest of the world.
I wish this festival is adopted by the United Nations, just as Diwali is adopted by the White House. May Hinduism guide the world with its non-violence, love, and purity. Amen.
