Back in 2008, I was visiting San Francisco with my mother.
If there was any restaurant we wanted to visit in our lives, it was Shalimar on Jones Street.
It is supposed to be a Pakistani restaurant.
A beautiful smell of spices and tandoor occupied the entire restaurant. The ambiance reminded me of my village in India. The hospitality of Pakiz was perfect. They said, just take a table; we will get you the food.
These were my fond memories of Shalimar.
Fast forward to 2012, 4 years later, we visited their branch in Sunnyvale. Unfortunately, the place of Pakistani hospitality was taken by Marathi Shiv Sena hatred.
Some super egotist, dumb headed, Marathi people, trying their hands on Muslim food. It was almost unpalatable.
For the Marathis, it was a pride. For me, it was an encroachment.
These Shiv Sena people always encroach. When will they leave the USA?
